# Analog Input Module

The Analog Input Module is used to receive data from analog devices with a -50…+50 V signal, RS-485 interface and Wireless connection is used for communication with the module. For example: a valve, a sensor and others. The Analog Input Module sends the collected data to the Enapter Gateway and Cloud via secure wireless connection.

# Lua API

Lua API allow to build custom operation logic of ENP-AI4 UCM. It includes functions which implement various kinds of interaction with analog input, local variables storage, scheduler and Enapter Cloud.

# ENP-AI4 Functions

# ai4.read_voltage(id)

Used to get read voltage from ADC of one of the analog inputs. Returns value in range -50 to +50 Volt To use this function, the analog input channel must be switched into voltage mode (by default) by removing jumper J9, J10, J11 or J12.

id is the analog input number 1 - 4.

# ai4.read_ma(id)

Used to get read current from ADC of one of the analog inputs. Returns value in range 4 to 20 mA. To use this function, the analog input channel must be switched into current mode by setting jumper J9, J10, J11 or J12.

id is the analog input number 1 - 4.
